Who are we ?

We, a united community of karate enthusiasts in Gokarneshwor, Nepal, are bound by a shared passion to uphold the high standards and values of Shotokan Karate. Our members, enriched through years of training with Japanese and non-Japanese sensei, embody a commitment to excellence. The Gokarneshwor Division warmly invites individuals, clubs, and Shotokan organizations, embracing diversity to fortify our local karate community.

Our Mission

As a non-political organization rooted in the Gokarneshwor community, our mission is to diligently uphold and propagate the principles and ideals of Shotokan Karate. We are committed to achieving this through active participation in international competitions, provision of technical instructions, facilitation of international grading examinations, qualification of referees and judges, and the education of instructors, coaches, and students.

What we promise

We commit to upholding democracy, transparency, honesty, and openness within our organization. Members will have the opportunity to voice their opinions in an international forum, with decisions made by an internationally elected board representing you, the members. Additionally, we assure utmost respect for the diverse cultures, ethnicities, and individual identities of all participants.
